This policy explains how Keys to Succeed (the business behind CompliMate) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use complimate.au. We take privacy seriously and collect only what we need.

1. Who we are

Keys to Succeed is an Australian small business operated by Sam Guilfoyle, WHS Specialist & Consultant. CompliMate is our WHS compliance product, available at complimate.au. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy mean Keys to Succeed.

2. What information we collect

We collect personal information only when you actively provide it or when it is generated through normal use of the site:

Contact enquiries: Name, business name, email, phone (optional), industry, state, and message — collected when you submit the contact or consulting enquiry form.
Email sign-ups: Email address and industry — if you subscribe for compliance tips or download resources.
Account creation: Email address, name, and password (hashed) — if you create a free account to access tools.
Purchase information: Email address and pack selection — when you purchase a compliance pack. Payment card details are processed directly by Stripe; we never see or store them.
Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, and industry context — collected anonymously to help us understand how CompliMate is used and improve it.

3. How we use your information

To deliver the compliance pack or tool you purchased or signed up for
To respond to your consulting enquiry or contact form submission
To send you relevant WHS compliance updates or tips (where you have opted in)
To improve CompliMate and understand which content is most useful
To fulfil our obligations under Australian Consumer Law

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not use it for advertising purposes.

4. Email communications

If you sign up for CompliMate resources or create a free account, you may receive a short onboarding sequence of WHS compliance tips relevant to your industry. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us directly.

If you submit a consulting enquiry, we will contact you to respond. We will not add you to marketing lists without your consent.

5. Third-party services

CompliMate uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate:

Stripe — secure payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to your payment data.
Neon / PostgreSQL — database hosting. Your data is stored on servers in Australia or the US.
Render — application hosting. The site is served from Render infrastructure.

We do not share your personal information with these providers beyond what is necessary to operate the service.

6. Cookies and tracking

CompliMate uses a single anonymous visitor identifier (stored in a cookie) to track page visits and improve the site. This does not identify you personally. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal obligations)
Opt out of marketing communications at any time

8. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as it is needed to provide the service you signed up for, or as required by Australian law. Contact enquiries and consulting leads are retained for up to 3 years. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Passwords are hashed before storage. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never passes through our servers in plaintext.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of CompliMate after changes constitutes acceptance.
